Kilkenny Mart report – cattle prices – 23-09-2021

According to George Candler, turnover exceeded €1.1m at Kilkenny Mart on Thursday, September 24^th, 2021.

The mart’s auctioneer reported that a slightly smaller entry, comprising some 1,200 lots, went under the hammer at its general cattle sale.

Speaking following the sale, the auctioneer said: “An electric trade for continental cows with flesh, with the bulk selling from €2.10-€2.46/kg, resulting in a 100% clearance.”

“Bullocks recorded a 96% clearance, with heifers meeting a 97% clearance,” Candler added.
