Kilkenny Mart – sheep prices – 20-09-2021
According to George Candler, a smaller entry comprising some 650 lots were on offer at Kilkenny Mart on Monday, September 20th, 2021.
The mart’s auctioneer reported that store lambs sold “well” and “trade remained steady for all lots” at the weekly sheep sale.
“Both butcher and factory-type lambs met a good, solid trade,” he remarked.

The mart’s auctioneer reported that better-quality butcher types went under the hammer at this week’s sale.
He outlined that cull ewes peaked at €151/head in comparison to price in excess of €200+ three weeks ago.
