A male in his 50s, has died following a road traffic collision involving a car and tractor in Co Meath.
Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a fatal road traffic collision in County Meath on Wednesday afternoon, July 26th, 2023.
The collision occurred at approximately 4 pm on the R157 at Moygaddy, Co.Meath and involved a car and a tractor.
The driver of the car, a man in his 50s, received fatal injuries.
No other injuries were reported.
A technical examination was completed by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators on Wednesday evening and the road has since re-opened, according to a statement from An Garda Síochána.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision or who may have video footage, to contact them.

Tractor driver airlifted after crash
Meanwhile, a tractor driver (60s) has been airlifted to hospital, following a collision with an articulated truck in Co Cavan on Tuesday, July 25th, 2023.
The collision occurred on the N3, near Burrenrea in the county just before midday.
The tractor driver was transferred by air ambulance to St James’ Hospital, Dublin, after sustaining “serious injuries”, according to Gardaí.
No other injuries have been reported.
Teenage girl dies after tractor collides with ditch
In May, a female, aged in her late teens, died following a single-vehicle road traffic collision involving a tractor in Co Cavan.
The collision occurred on the L2514 at Loughduff, Co. Cavan, on Tuesday, May 30th, 2023, at approximately 11 pm.
In a statement to www.thatsfarming.com, a spokesperson for An Garda Síochána:
“A female juvenile (aged in her late teens) was fatally injured when the tractor collided with a ditch.”
“Her body has been removed from the scene to the mortuary in Cavan General Hospital, where a post-mortem will take place in due course.”
“A male juvenile (aged in his late teens) who was driving the tractor was uninjured.”
“The road is currently closed pending an examination by forensic collision investigators. Local diversions are in place,” the spokesperson added.
