Castlerea Mart – Cattle Prices – 29-09-2022
According to Brendan Egan, Castlerea Mart’s annual show & sale of continental heifers and Belgian Blue weanlings attracted “a good yard of stock” on Thursday, September 29th, 2022.
The mart manager explained that weanling heifers made up to €2420, while weanling bulls topped out at €1900.
He reported that “trade held well despite the unease of the sterling with a good attendance of buyers present resulting in a good clearance”.
Last week, prices reached €2,270 for weanling heifers and €1,680 for weanling bulls at Castlerea Mart’s annual show and sale of continental weanlings on Thursday, September 22nd, 2022.
