Baltinglass Mart – sheep prices – 22-05-2021

According to Tom Coleman, a larger entry went under the hammer at Baltinglass Mart on Saturday, May 22^nd, 2021.

The mart manager reported a “very strong” trade for spring lambs with a top price of €169 for top-quality 46kg entries.

“Ewes with lambs at foot in good demand with brisk bidding from the ring and online. A record price of €400 was had for a ewe and two lambs,” Coleman added.

Baltinglass Mart report – sheep prices – 15-05-2021

According to Tom Coleman, a smaller entry of sheep went under the hammer at Baltinglass Mart on Saturday, May 15^th, 2021.

He reported strong farmer demand for ewes with lambs at foot as he noted that “prices were well maintained” on the previous week.

Baltinglass Mart 15-05-2021:

• 55kg – €167;
• 2 55kg – €167;
• 3 43kg – €159;
• 10 41kg – €153;
• 3 56kg – €153;
• 7 43kg – €140;
• 6 42kg – €140;
• 8 40kg – €136.
