Baltinglass Mart report – sheep prices – 15-05-2021

According to Tom Coleman, a smaller entry of sheep went under the hammer at Baltinglass Mart on Saturday, May 15^th, 2021.

He reported strong farmer demand for ewes with lambs at foot as he noted that “prices were well maintained” on the previous week.

Baltinglass Mart 15-05-2021:

• 55kg – €167;
• 2 55kg – €167;
• 3 43kg – €159;
• 10 41kg – €153;
• 3 56kg – €153;
• 7 43kg – €140;
• 6 42kg – €140;
• 8 40kg – €136.

Other categories:

• Ewes with lambs at foot made from €180 up to €250;
• Cast ewes ranged from €60 up to €140.

Speaking following the sale, the mart manager said: “A smaller sale today but a great trade. Lots of customers for spring lambs and for ewes with lambs at foot,”
