‘Perfectly developed’ 90ac residential dairy farm with outbuildings

A “superb” residential dairy farm with an “extensive” range of modern farm buildings is how Robert Nixon has described his newest listing in Co. Cavan.

According to the property and livestock auctioneer, the residential farm at Enagh West, Virginia, is a “perfectly developed” livestock enterprise with “excellent” facilities.

Currently, the lands – which extend to just over 90-acres – are in easily managed in “well” laid-out divisions.

The farmyard has slatted sheds, cubicles with scrapers, loose calving boxes, bedded pens, a cattle crush, and a “modern” milking parlour.

Moreover, the dwelling is a two-storey four-bed residence with oil-fired central heating a solid-fuel stove.

According to the auctioneer, the property was insulated in recent times and comprises four bedrooms, as stated above, along with a kitchen, a utility, a sitting room, an entrance hall, and a WC.

The “conveniently” located property, which is c. 5 minutes from Virginia and 10 minutes from Oldcastle, is for sale in the following lots:

  • Two-storey dwelling with circa 5.56-acres;
  • Circa 84.63-acres with a range of farm buildings;
  • The entire: 90.19-acres, the dwelling, and a range of farm buildings.

Other properties for sale

In our recent property segment, we featured three listings which are on the market for under €50,000.

First up in Co. Sligo, with a €30,000 price tag, is a 3-roomed detached cottage with outbuildings on a 0.5-acre site.

According to Eamon Scanlon of E & M Scanlon Auctioneers and Estate Agents LTD, the property has been vacant for “some time now” and, therefore, requires “total” refurbishment.

Commenting on the listing at The Crosses, Cloonloo, Cloonloogh, Co Sligo, the spokesperson said:

“This  stone cottage would make an ideal fixer-upper property that has a lot to offer to the right client.”

“The property is located within an easy 20-minute commute of Carrick-on-Shannon and a ten-minute commute of Boyle,” the spokesperson added.
