Castlerea Mart – Cattle Prices – 30-06-2022
According to Brendan Egan, some 400 cattle came under the hammer at Castlerea Mart on Thursday, June 30th, 2022.
The mart manager reported that trade was “similar” to the previous week, with a “good” attendance of buyers resulting in a “good” clearance.
He explained that the dry cow trade “remained strong” with lots changing hands for up to €2,540/head.
Furthermore, he pointed out that the weanling rings “noticed the strongest demand this week” with up to €3.45/kg for bulls and €3.73/kg for heifers.

- Springers varied from €1380 to €1500 per head.
