Castlerea Mart – Cattle Prices – 23-06-2022
According to Brendan Egan, almost 500 lots came under the hammer at Castlerea Mart on Thursday, June 23rd, 2022.
The mart manager reported that “trade held despite talk of price slippages”, with tops of €2,360 in the bullock ring, €2,290 in the heifers and €2,260 for a cull cow.
According to Egan, breeding stock topped out at €2,410 – a price that was recorded for a Belgian-Blue-cross cow and her Simmental bull calf at foot with a good clearance taking place.
