An 184-acre farm based in Co. Tipperary is set to come under the hammer next week.
The farm, located close to the Horse & Jockey, Thurles and includes the famous Derrynaflan Island, has been introduced to the market by Dougan Fitzgerald.
One or more lots
The land in Derrynaflan, Lurgoe, Killenaule in the county, is available to purchase in one or more lots:
- Lot 1: c.44-acres Derrynaflan Island – “This is a grassland holding containing he ruins of a Christian monastic settlement known locally as ‘Gobain Saor’. It was here in 1980 that a gentleman and his son from Clonmel discovered the priceless hoard.”
- Lot 2: c80-acres – Grassland holding – “With dual access and a mixture of good and fair grassland.”
- Lot 3: c60-acres – Tillage and grassland – “Primarily good quality cropland with some moderate grazing land also.”
Due to the latest Covid-19 restrictions, the property firm stated that it can only allow registered bidders to attend the auction.
“There will be a best bids auction at the Horse and Jockey Hotel in line with these restrictions. Kindly contact the office for details of how to register for the various lots or the entire holding.”
