Bullocks hit €2,070 at Roscommon

There was a good entry of stock at Roscommon Mart’s cattle sale on Friday, June 12th, according to a mart spokesperson.

Buyers were active both online and at the ringside, while 40% of sellers did not return to the mart for the sale, instead opting to accept prices from home.

Prices for quality stock held quite well, according to the spokesperson, but plainer lots were more difficult to sell. Dry cows ranged from €1.68-€2.04/kg, while heifers fetched €2.08-€2.65/kg and bullocks went under the hammer for €2.05-€2.34/kg.
