€590 for 1-month-old Charolais calf at Ennis

Ennis Mart’s sale on Tuesday (September 15th) attracted some 700 lots, according to a spokesperson who reported online activity in all three rings.

“Trade in the bulls was a shade easier but quality lots are holding a fine price, especially the lighter lots.”

“A small entry of calves met a strong trade with one-month-old Charolais heifer reaching €590.”

“Runner heifers made to a high of €890 and runner bulls made to €970. Overall, the heifer weanling trade was very similar to last week. A small entry of suckler stock made to €1,690.”
