Tractor completely destroyed after catching fire

Firefighters were deployed to the scene of a tractor fire in recent days.

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service received reports of a tractor on fire in the Sutcombe, Devon vicinity.

100% damage to tractor

In a statement, a spokesperson said: “Fire control mobilised one fire appliance from Holsworthy, one from Bude and one water carrier from Barnstaple.”

“On arrival crews, confirmed one tractor well alight and extinguished the fire using two breathing apparatus wearers, one hose reel jet, one safety jet and one compressed air foam jet.”

“The fire caused 100% damage to the tractor. Duty of care was left with the owner. The cause of the fire deemed to be accidental.” the statement concluded.
