In support of the #DoItForDan fundraising campaign, Hennessy Machinery Auctions is auctioning off a vintage Davy Brown Tractor.
The draw for the tractor will be held by live stream on their Facebook page on bank holiday Monday, May 4th, at 8 pm.
Dan Donoher was born on the 28th of March, 2019, to loving parents; Niall and Aisling. Unfortunately, he was diagnosed on December 6th with a rare genetic neuromuscular disease called Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) Type 1 and Scoliosis, with an average life expectancy of 18-24 months.
The family have recently been raising money for life-changing treatment called Zolgensma, which is currently only available in the USA and costs 2.1 million dollars for a once-off infusion.
Studies have shown that Zolgensma can substantially improve quality of life and survival of this horrific disease.
In their announcement of the charity raffle, Hennessy Auctioneers said: “Some great news has come out tonight that the #doitfordan fundraising is flying and the target is within sights. Let’s keep it going for this great cause and be within a chance to win this Davy Brown vintage tractor.”
Tickets for the draw cost €10 and can be purchased by donating to the fundraiser’s GoFundMe page. Donations can be made in multiples of €10 to enter a number of times.
