Farming News/Mart Reports on That’s Farming: Tuam Co-operative Livestock Mart – Cattle Prices – 04-09-2023

According to Marion Devane, Tuam Co-operative Livestock Mart saw “a fine cattle trade all around” on Monday, September 4th, 2023.

At its most recent general cattle sale, dry cows topped out at €2,380, while heifers pushed up to highs of €1,940 and bullocks topped at €2,400.

  • 430 kg LMX by a Claregalway farmer made €1380 (€3.21/kg);
  • A pair 440 kg LMX by a Dunmore farmer made €1340 (€3.05/kg);
  • 465 kg CHX by a Claregalway farmer made €1450 (€3.12/kg);
  • 530 kg AU by a Barnaderg farmer made €1520 (€2.87/kg);
  • 470 kg BBX by a Claregalway farmer made €1450 (€3.09/kg);
  • A pair of 490 kg CHX by a Tuam farmer made €1550 (€3.16/kg);
  • 615 kg CHX by a Sylane farmer made €1940 (€3.15/kg).

Cull cow prices:
