Tributes paid following death of Macra member

Tributes have poured in for the late Tom O’Donoghue, who passed away at Cork University Hospital following a “very brief” illness, according to his death notice.

In a post on social media, a spokesperson for Fermoy Macra, said: “Fermoy Macra are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Tom O’Donoghue.”

“Tom was an extremely valued member of Fermoy Macra, an absolute gentleman, the most talented singer and also an all-round entertainer.”

“Our condolences, thoughts and prayers are with Tom’s family and friends. Ar dheis Dé do raibh a anam.” the post concluded.
