Parade of Light tractor run returns

Young farmers from across the country will flock to Trim, Co. Meath with their tractors at sunrise on Saturday, March 7th.

Meath Macra na Feirme’s Parade of Light Tractor run returns for a third year, following on from the success of last year’s event, which raised over €2,000 for their chosen charity.

The fundraising event is conducted to support SOSAD (Save Our Sons And Daughters), which is the Irish suicide prevention and bereavement support charity.

The Macra club is aiming to have more tractors, raise more money and encourage more Parade of Light tractor runs around the country, all while raising awareness for suicide prevention.

Get involved

The event is open to anyone that wants to take part – those interested in participating are asked to be at Trim GAA club at 5am for registration, with the run then scheduled for 5.30am.

An entry fee will not apply but tractor drivers will be asked to make a donation to SOSAD. Refreshments will be served to drivers after the tractor run and they will also have the chance to take home some fantastic sponsored raffle prizes.
