This time of year, farmers and lovers of all things agricultural usually look forward to the biggest show of the year but unfortunately, due to Covid-19, organisers of the National Ploughing Championships made the call, in the interest of public health and safety, to cancel this year’s event.

Herdwatch, farm management software company in Ireland & the UK, with over 13,000 farmers using their app, is one of thousands of businesses that will miss the event this year, along with FRS Network Farm Relief, which they are part of.

Win prize bundle worth over €500

Mervyn Harvey from Herdwatch commented “We’ll miss the atmosphere and meeting so many farmers, but fingers crossed, things will be back to normal for the 2021 show.”

“We always have so much fun with competitions and offers at the Ploughing and these will go virtual this year and existing members will be given an opportunity to win a Herdwatch prize bundle worth over €500.”

“We’re particularly disappointed as we released our new NextGen app in June after 2 years of research and development and an investment of over €1 million, so it would have been perfect timing to give farmers a look at our brand new upgraded platform.”

New product and special offer

This year, the company is introducing the Herdwatch Data Exchange Engine, a new product that will allow farmers to upload their pictures, documents, receipts, or files to Herdwatch so they can be transformed into management data, using the latest technology in machine learning and AI.

Another part of the Ploughing going ahead is the traditional Herdwatch special offer for new members who join during the event. This year, farmers will be able to get their first year’s membership at half price.

The offer is available until September 18th by calling 0505-34400 or visiting here

The offer includes a 30-day money back guarantee and the Herdwatch team will be happy to help farmers get going and start simplifying their farm paperwork.
