Prices to €2,190 in ‘vibrant’ trade at Kilkenny

Kilkenny Mart – Cattle Prices – 08-12-2022

According to George Candler, a slightly smaller entry, comprising some 800 lots, took place at Kilkenny Mart on Thursday, December 8^th, 2022.

The mart auctioneer reported that trade remained firm, which resulted in a 100% clearance in both the cull cow and heifer ring.

He outlined that bullocks showed a “slightly weaker” clearance of 98%.

Candler commented that there was a “vibrant trade with a noticeable decrease in beef types”.

• Freisians – €0.60-€2.21/kg.
