Ennis Mart report – cattle prices – 01-07-2021

According to a spokesperson, just over 700 cattle were on offer at Ennis Mart on Thursday, July 1^st, 2021.

They reported that “trade could only be described as strong in all rings” with a 98% clearnace.

“A large number of heavy bullocks this week met great demand and cows met excellent demand also.”

“Quite a number of cattle going up north again. Trade for strong cattle could only be described as strong.”

“A number of aged bulls also available. These averaged €1.94/kg with a top call of €2,160 for a CH of 1,120kgs,” the spokesperson added,

Cattle prices at Tuesday’s sale

According to a spokesperson, almost 400 lots passed through the rings at Ennis Mart on Tuesday, June 29^th, 2021.

They reported that “trade was very strong all-round with some exceptional prices for some real top-quality breeding-type heifers.”.

“Calf numbers were small but met a strong trade for the 50 on offer, with a top call of €495. A small number of sucklers on offer and pairs made to €1,900.”

“A strong trade for heavier bulls over 400kgs but some excellent stock in this category,” the spokesperson added.
