€550,000 5-bed house has ‘style, space and elegance’

If you are in the market for a residence with style, space, and elegance, then Eamonn Shields’ newest listing in Kingscourt, Co Cavan, may have everything you desire.

The selling agent is seeking €550,000 for a 5-bed detached house in Loiste Cirin Cnoc, Carrickleck Kingscourt/Nobber A82A9C2.

Spanning c. 2,885 sq.ft., Loiste Cirin Cnoc set on circa 2-acres offers a “unique, functional and comfortable” living space.

Shields has described the property as a “peace of heaven” with strong attention to detail and an “amazing” abundance of light-filled space.

He said it is a “magnificent architecturally” designed natural stone-built detached residence featuring a side turret.

It contains five double bedrooms with two en-suites. The master bedroom suite consists of a walk-in wardrobe, en-suite and sitting room/nursery area.

The selling agent said: “The light-filled kitchen/dining room with sunroom off that faces south-west essentially fills the living area with a timeless motion picture of the beautiful surrounding rolling countryside, lush green pastures, livestock grazing and much more.”

“Built approximately fifteen years ago, this luxury property benefits from a coveted B3 energy rating which shows how well the property is built and insulated.”

Meanwhile, the double lofted garage, which is offset at the rear on one side, is also “very well” insulated. It has an electric roller door and is suitable for various uses.

Continuing, the selling agent said:

“You can see the owners expended many resources and time to create the perfect family home in conjunction with a local architect, all of whom should be proud of this fantastic creation.”

Meanwhile, at the other side of the main residence are steps leading to a raised patio area. Here, you will find wrought iron railings and a sun trap barbecue area that commands “excellent” views as far as Kingscourt town.

Location

Kingscourt is a “busy” market town located near the borders of Meath, Louth, and Monaghan, lying between the N2 and N3, north of the N52.

Nearby principal towns include:

  • Carrickmacross (8 mls);
  • Ardee (12.5 mls);
  • Kells (14 mls);
  • Navan (20 mls);
  • Dundalk (21 mls);
  • Cavan (27.5 mls).

The selling agent added that several of the area’s home-grown industries have become national and international brand names.

A new secondary school for the area is under construction at present. Furthermore, the Cabra Castle and golf course, a popular wedding venue, is close by.

Adjacent is Dun na Rí Forest Park, set in a “tranquil” glen along the banks of the River Cabra. It is home to stoat, hare, mink, rabbit, and otter, as well as the red and grey squirrel.

Shields concluded: “Interesting features include Cromwells Bridge, a wishing well and an icehouse.”

“Stroll through deep, leafy glades over old bridges and see marvellous views north to Slieve Gullion in Co. Armagh and the Mountains of Mourne.”

“Also close by is Muff Rock, the scene of an annual horse fair, widely regarded as the oldest horse fair in Ireland.”
