Castlerea Mart – Cattle Prices – 06-10-2022
According to Brendan Egan, a “good entry of stock met with a steady trade” at Castlerea Mart’s annual show and sale of Aberdeen Angus heifers on Thursday, October 6th, 2022.
The mart manager reported that stores were in demand, while heavier lots peaked at €1,930.
The weanling rings reported “good” clearances also, with bulls to €3.64/kg and heifer weanlings to €3.84/kg.
Meanwhile, breeding stock and runners witnessed “strong” farmer activity, while dry cows soared to €2,270.
