Ennis Mart report – cattle prices – 06-05-2021

According to a spokesperson, numbers held in the cull cow and heifer rings at Ennis Mart on Thursday, May 6^th, 2021.

“There was some great beef through the cows and a couple of pens of serious beef heifers. A great demand for all types of beef, but the store and feeder-type cows a shade easier.”

“There were a dozen aged bulls today. These met a fine trade and achieved an average of €1.80/kg. A good Charolais bull of 970kgs made €1,870,” the spokesperson concluded.

Ennis Mart 29-04-2021:

According to a spokesperson, some 450 lots were presented for sale at Ennis Mart on Thursday, April 29^th, 2021.

They reported that “trade held very strong all-round but no increase in prices on the week”.

“There were 20 aged bulls on offer, and some super bulls in these. Again some super cull cows through the sale, and some cows made €1,000 to €1,200 over their weight.”
