Catalogue for 94th annual Mohill Show filled to the brim

In this article, a spokesperson for Mohill Show previews this year’s event which takes place on August 20th, 2023, at McGowan’s Field and Reynolds Topline Community and Sports Hub – N41 XDK2.

The 94th annual Mohill Show day will consist of an array of classes across ponies, horses, riding classes, donkeys, pedigree and non-pedigree cattle, sheep, goats, poultry, dogs, pets, cookery, flowers, farm, and garden produce, including eggs, jams and honey, art, craft, photography, and junior classes.

Among the highlights are two new interesting competitions in the cattle section.

Two classes with a prize fund of €1,000 in each Class, sponsored by Mohill Show committee themselves, are open to Continental pedigree and non-continental pedigree bull calves born on or after September 1st, 2022.

There is also a super baby beef class with €1,000 to be won there too and two Aurivo Sponsored classes for non-pedigree heifer for breeding and non-pedigree weanling.

Mohill Show will also host a Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine Traditional 4* or 5* Breeding Heifer Class.

Moreover, we will also host the Irish Aberdeen Angus Connacht/Donegal Club Calf Championship Final, with a total of six classes.

Qualifiers will be held at the following shows – Corrandulla, Riverstown, Clonmany, Claremorris, Roscommon and Mohill.

Mohill Show

As well as a fantastic range of cattle classes, Mohill Show hosts a broad range of classes in their horse and pony sections with the main feature here being the final of the Leitrim Irish Draught Breeders Championship.

There will be live entertainment – music and a junior jiving competition, along with The Bemusement Games, presented by Fuinseog Woodland Crafts.

There will be a puppet show & magic show, presented by ‘Really Grand Events’, while you can visit the Fermanagh Fun Farm Stand, Come and have a chat with ‘Farmer Phil’, and a Best Scarecrow Competition sponsored by Cecil Tuthill & Mack Crowe.

Besides, we are also hosting our Mohill Agricultural Show Raffle, with the draw to take place on show day at the showgrounds.

The first prize winner will receive €500, with a second prize of €400, €300 for third, €200 for fourth and €100 for fifth.

Tickets are priced at €5 each or you can purchase a book of 3 for €10.
