New pet-friendly glamping pods from €100 upwards/night

Luxury glamping company, Further Space, has opened the gates of its new site in one of County Wexford’s most “picturesque and historic” settings.

It has installed six exclusive glamping pods at its first ROI site, at the ancient Forth Mountain, directly adjacent to popular hiking and horse-riding trails.

Its newest site, offering “commanding” views across the ‘sunny south-east’, joins its network of eight “luxury” glamping sites across Scotland and Northern Ireland.

The company is dedicated to working with landowners to offer sustainable, luxury glamping experiences for explorers who “love an adventure in unique spaces and unexpected places”.

Wexford Glamping Pods

James O’Connor owns the well-known Forth Mountain Stud, which is just 90 minutes from the capital.

The landowner is “delighted” to be welcoming guests to a part of Co. Wexford that “means so much” to him.

James said: “Little did I know 30 years ago while admiring the views with my uncle, Luke, that I would be now able to welcome people to Forth Mountain with the help of Further Space.”

The firm claims the site is “ideal” for families and travellers who “love a little bit of adventure”.

Just a short drive takes you to Curracloe beach, voted the best in Ireland due to its golden sands and welcoming waters.

Meanwhile, nearby are several historical towns “perfect” for exploring and Hook Lighthouse, the world’s oldest working lighthouse.

From family festivals to historic gardens, live music events and stunning landscapes, Co. Wexford presents what the firm described as “an abundance” of attractions to enjoy this summer and beyond.

According to the company, the site is “unique” as it is “extremely” pet friendly. James encourages guests to bring their animals along, from dogs to cats and even horses.

Location

David Maxwell, co-founder, Further Space, says the firm goes to “great” lengths to locate pods in “unique places which encourage people to reconnect with nature while creating greater health and well-being for our explorers”.

“When you stand outside the pods looking across to Blackstairs Mountain and Mount Leinster, you realise there are few places more peaceful or beautiful while just a short distance away is Wexford town. We know guests will enjoy their stays on Forth Mountain.”
