An Garda Síochána seized a tractor at a checkpoint in the midlands recently.
The agricultural vehicle had “excessively worn” tyres and had not been taxed in over 2,400 days.

In a tweet, a Garda spokesperson said: “Meath Roads Policing Unit were conducting a checkpoint as part of #OperationFanacht when they stopped this tractor.”
“It was found that it was untaxed for 2408 days and that the tyres were excessively worn. The vehicle was seized. Fixed Charge Penalty Notice issued.”
