In a brief post on social media, a spokesperson for the fire station said:

“A busy day continues…. not long after returning from the AFA, we were mobilised onto a road traffic collision.”

“Two vehicles had collided in a narrow country lane. Thankfully, all persons were out of the vehicles. Two persons required some first aid from the firefighters for minor injuries (another skill all firefighters have!)”

“Both vehicles were made electrically safe, and casualties passed into the care of West Midlands Ambulance.”

“Please take extra care when driving on narrow country lanes – especially where your vision ahead is limited by high hedgerows. Remember, you need to be able to stop in the road you can see if clear,” the spokesperson concluded.

Driver arrested after police chase

Meanwhile, police in Co Fermanagh, Northern Ireland arrested a male for various motoring offences, including dangerous driving, over the weekend.

Crews from the District Support Team witnessed a vehicle driving dangerously on the Boa Island road area.

According to a spokesperson for Police Fermanagh and Omagh, subsequently, officers tried to stop the vehicle; however, “the driver had other ideas and put the foot down”. You can find more here.
