Ennis Mart – cattle prices – 05-10-2021
According to a spokesperson, just under 1,200 cattle were on offer at Ennis Mart on Tuesday, October 5th, 2021.
They reported that the sale attracted a “large” entry of weanlings, with 95% of all lots finding new homes.
“Trade held very strong for quality lots, but lesser-quality lots were a little bit easier.”
“More calves were on offer, and 15 of these were available with a 5-week-old Charolais heifer calf making €320.”
Meanwhile, pairs in the suckler ring hit €2,390, and in-calf lots followed at €1,600. On the other hand, runner heifers fetched up to €900, and bulls rose to €1,120.
“Again, a few roan-coloured top-quality heifers made serious money and hit €7.50/kg,” the spokesperson commented.
