Dog chases sheep out of field

Police are investigating a livestock worrying incident which occurred in Gorefield, Cambridgeshire earlier this week.

Dogs chased a flock of sheep out of their field and into a garden on Tuesday morning (October 27th).

Keep dogs under control at all times

A police spokesperson said: “Neighbourhood officers attended Gorefield today to round up a flock of sheep that had sought refuge in a neighbouring garden.”

“The sheep had been chased out of their field by a dog that was not on a lead. Fortunately, no sheep were injured.”

“It is really important to keep dogs under proper control at all times, even in a rural setting. It is an offence to worry livestock. Investigations into this incident continue.”
