Carnew Mart – cattle prices – 26-06-2021

According to David Quinn, over 1,070 cattle and over 100 calves were on offer at Carnew Mart on Saturday, June 26^th, 2021.

The mart manager reported that the “cattle trade was on fire with exceptional demand for all types”.

He said the sale’s highlight was a 608kg LMX heifer, which pushed up to €3100.

Meanwhile, a 2018-born CHX heifer, weighing 952kgs, changed hands for €2,650. Furthermore, an 880kg PTX cow climbed to €2,080.

“Exceptional demand for Aberdeen-Angus cattle saw a bullock 738kg sell for €1850. 3 Aberdeen-Angus heifers, weighing 572kg, sold for €1480.”
