Blessington Mart – sheep prices – 23-11-2021

According to a spokesperson, there was a “very good trade for all classes” at Blessington Mart on Tuesday, November 23^rd, 2021.

They reported that trade for fat lambs was similar to the previous week.

Blessington Mart 23-11-2021:

• Heavy lambs – €160-€166 or €104-€109 over;
• Factory lambs – €138-€160 or €92-€106 over;
• Store lambs over 40kgs – €124-€138 over;
• Also, store lambs over 35kgs – €106-€124 over;
• Store lambs over 40kgs – €76-€106 or €46-€68 over;
• Heavy ewes – €140-€172/head:
• Light ewes – €88-€132/head.

Last week’s sheep prices:

According to a spokesperson, all classes of sheep met with “a very strong” trade at Blessington Mart on 16-11-2021.

They reported this all stock found new homes at its weekly sheep sale.

• Heavy lambs – €166-€170 or €108-€115 over;
• Factory lambs – €145-€166 or €101-€112 over;
• Store lambs over 40kgs – €132-€144 or €86-€100 over;
• Also, Store lambs over 35kgs – €105-€130 or €70-€95 over;
• Store lambs over 30kgs – €85-€116 or €55-€84 over;
• Heavy ewes – €140-€168/head;
• Lighter ewes – €86-€136/head.

Last week’s cattle sale

A spokesperson reported that a “very lively” trade prevailed for cattle at Thursday’s (November 18^th, 2021), sale.

They reported that a smaller entry went under the hammer at its general cattle sale.

Cattle prices:

• Continental store bullocks – €460-€810 over;
• HE/AA store bullocks – €300-€470 over;
• Friesian store bullocks – €190-€460 over;
• Continental store heifers – €410-€680 over;
• HE/AA store heifers – €280-€470 over;
• Beef cows – €410-€760 over;
• Feeding cows – €160-€340 over.

Previous week’s cattle sale

A spokesperson reported that a smaller entry was on offer at its general cattle sale on Thursday, November 11^th, 2021.

“Trade was similar to the previous week for all classes, they noted.

• Continental store bullocks – €460-€910 over;
• HE/AA store bullocks – €330-€570 over;
• Friesian store bullocks – €200-€460 over;
• Continental store heifers – €400-€640 over;
• HE/AA store heifers – €400-€460 over;
• Beef cows – €360-€740 over;
• Feeding cows – €160-€350 over.
