Hogget ewes to €215 & fat lambs to €152/head in Dowra

According to a spokesperson for Dowra Mart, a large entry of sheep came under the hammer on Friday, August 18^th, 2023, with over 2500 lots on offer.

Store lambs topped at €110, while hogget ewes pushed up to €215, forward store lambs peaked at €124.50, and fat lambs clicked up to €152.

Forward store lambs:

• 10 weighing 42kg @ €124.50;
• 50 weighing 42kg @ €123.50;
• 10 weighing 38kg @ €123;
• 12 weighing 38kg @ €121;
• 25 weighing 40kg @ €119.50;
• 4 weighing 37.5kg @ €118.50;
• 3 weighing 37kg @ €114.

Store lambs:

• 10 weighing 33kg @ €110;
• 9 weighing 34kg @ €103.50;
• 12 weighing 30kg @ €103;
• 40 weighing 37kg @ €101;
• 20 weighing 33kg @ €100;
• 2 weighing 32kg @ €100;
• 20 weighing 33kg @ €97;
• 22 weighing 31kg @ €95.50;
• 5 weighing 26kg @ €90;
• 30 weighing 30.5kg @ €90;

According to a spokesperson for Dowra Mart, a large entry of just over 1,700 lots came under the hammer at its sheep sale on Friday, August 11^th, 2023.

The spokesperson reported that fat lambs peaked at €143/head, while forward store lambs pushed to €130, store lambs hit €127 and hogget ewes changed hands for up to €200.
