Portumna Mart has announced that it will not be hosting any sales until further notice.
In a statement on social media on Tuesday (March 17th), a mart spokesperson said: “It is with great regret that Portumna Mart will not be open tomorrow (Wednesday, March 18th), and into the future, until we get through the Covid-19 emergency.”
“The safety of our staff and clients is our responsibility. It is not possible to follow the HSE guidelines with regard to distancing and hygiene, in the mart environment at this stage.”
“If we all abide by the rules, as advised by the HSE, we will get through this.” the statement concluded.
