A member of staff at one of ABP Food Group’s processing plants has tested positive for Covid-19.
In a statement, the meat processor confirmed that the case has been identified at ABP Cahir, Co. Tipperary after the employee was “referred for testing as a result of the company’s factory entrance employee assessment procedures”.
All close contacts of the worker are self-isolating and are now undergoing testing, a statement from the company outlined.
The company said it will continue to take “guidance and direction” from the HSA and the HSE in relation to the case.
