Kilkenny Mart – cattle prices – 03-03-2022
According to George Candler, just over 1,300 lots came under the hammer at Kilkenny Mart on Thursday, March 3rd, 2022.
The mart’s auctioneer reported that a much larger sale resulted in a turnover in excess of €1.4 million.
He commented that “trade remained very strong for quality cattle”. Candler explained that bullocks peaked at €2,500 and cows topped out at €2,220.
