Kanturk Mart report – cattle prices – 12-10-2921
According to a spokesperson, over 1,000 entries were on offer at Kanturk Mart’s cattle sale on Tuesday, October 12th, 2021.
They reported that 98% of all cattle that went under the hammer found new homes.
Speaking following the sale, the spokesperson said: “Kanturk Mart was bustling again.”
“Prices were the same as last week except for older cows out of the parlour and in poor condition. These proved harder to sell.”
“However, overall, it was a great sale with 98% clearance,” they added.

Cull cow prices:
- HE – 765kg – €1430;
- AA – 700kg – €1200;
- FR – 625kg – €1100;
- AA – 590kg – €1150.
Heifer prices:
- AA – 571kg – €1260;
- 1 AA – 550kg – €1200;

A spokesperson reported that the mart was “packed to the rafters” last week, with over 1,000 cattle on offer.
They noted that prices “held steady” at its general cattle sale, which it held in conjunction with its spring-born weanling show & sale.
