Ennis Mart – Cattle Prices – 22-03-2022
According to a spokesperson for Ennis Mart, just under 1,000 lots crossed the sales at its most recent sale on Tuesday, March 22nd, 2022.
They noted that calf numbers were “back slightly” at its general weekly cattle sale, which saw a “slightly better” trade.
In terms of trade, “very light” Friesian bull calves went under the hammer from €5-€40, while better lots changed hands from €75 to €110.
Aberdeen Angus calves ranged from €115-€285/head and Hereford-cross calves pushed from €140-€375/head.
They noted that “dairy stock met a good trade and made to €1,890”.
Meanwhile, pairs in the suckler ring hit €3,100 and in-calf lots topped out at €2,120.
