Ennis Mart – Cattle Prices – 22-03-2022

According to a spokesperson for Ennis Mart, just under 1,000 lots crossed the sales at its most recent sale on Tuesday, March 22^nd, 2022.

They noted that calf numbers were “back slightly” at its general weekly cattle sale, which saw a “slightly better” trade.

In terms of trade, “very light” Friesian bull calves went under the hammer from €5-€40, while better lots changed hands from €75 to €110.

Aberdeen Angus calves ranged from €115-€285/head and Hereford-cross calves pushed from €140-€375/head.

They noted that “dairy stock met a good trade and made to €1,890”.

Meanwhile, pairs in the suckler ring hit €3,100 and in-calf lots topped out at €2,120.
