Castlerea Mart – Cattle Prices – 01-09-2022
According to Brendan Egan, stock numbers continue to grow week on week at Castlerea Mart.
At its most recent sale on Thursday, September 1st, prices reached €3,100 in the suckler ring, while dry cows peaked at €2,500, heifers soared to €2,000 and bullocks topped out at €2,120.
The mart manager noted that the bullock, heifer and weanling rings saw increased lots on offer and overall, trade and prices “held very well”.
