An anonymous Irish pub-goer forked out €189.00 for 42 pints of Guinness during their 105-minute visit earlier this week.
The individual also purchased two bowls of soup, two cokes and one portion of fish and chips, bringing the total to a staggering €222.90.
Hector Ó hEochagáin shared an image of the bill, saying: “The ban is lifted ‘will we go for a bite to eat?’ Yeah sher why not? will we head over to Athboy? Good idea **20 minutes later**fancy a pint? Or even 42 of them! #soakage #royals.”
Pubs, which service a “substantial meal” opened their doors on Monday, June 29th, as part of the Government’s phase three roadmap for re-opening society and business.
