No ICBF data on mart boards this weekend

No ICBF data – such as €uro-Stars and EBI information – will display on mart boards for a two-day period, the federation has confirmed.

It is due to perform a scheduled upgrade of its database, which will impact all of its support services.

The federation released a statement advising HerdPlus members, who intend to sell animals this coming weekend, to generate a sales catalogue using its software.

It confirmed that its normal service will resume next Monday, July 25th, 2022.

In a statement, a spokesperson for the federation said:

“Due to essential maintenance, all ICBF services, including the website, email and telephone support, will be unavailable from 7 am on Friday 22nd to Sunday, July 25th. Normal service will resume on Monday, July 25th.”

“We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this interruption. We will get back to all queries from Monday, July 25th, 2022,” the spokesperson concluded.

ICBF: Weight recording for BEEP-S

In related news, weighing and submitting this data to the ICBF is the only compulsory action under the BEEP-S.

For this measure, participants must weigh each un-weaned calf and its dam and submit weights to the ICBF.

From May 1st, 2022, submit all weights within seven days of weighing and no later than November 1st, 2022.

The DAFM has set out the following four requirements under the scheme:

  • All calves being submitted for weighing must have been born between July 1st, 2021, and June 30th, 2022;
  • Un-weaned live calf and dam must be weighed on the applicants holding on the same day;
  • You can only use scales registered in accordance with the requirements of annex 1;
  • Submit weights between January 1st, 2022, and November 1st, 2022, in accordance with annex 1.

If you are recording weights online/electronically, you must record weights on the ICBF database by 5:30 pm on November 1st, 2022.
