Kilkenny Mart – cattle prices – 11-11-2021

According to George Candler, a smaller entry of just over 800 lots went under the hammer at Kilkenny Mart on Thursday, November 11^th, 2021.

The mart’s auctioneer reported that a “sharper” trade prevailed for beef bullocks and forward-stores, especially continentals.

“A yard of some excellent bullocks and heifers met a vibrant trade with quality continentals in demand.”

“Quality Friesian bulls made up to €2.12/kg. Heifers peaked at €1,690 for a 700kg Limousin. Cull cows met a good firm trade, especially for quality lots.”
