Proceeds from the sale of bull, which sold for €5,700 at Carnaross Mart earlier today (Monday, December 21st), will be donated to a worthy cause.

Carnaross Mart auctioned off a 545kg Belgian-Blue-cross bull in aid of St. John’s Ward in Crumlin Children’s Hospital.

The bull, which was born in December-2019, was snapped up for the four-figure sum following a hive of activity from an opening bid of €2,000.

The successful bidder is to receive a €100 lucks’ penny.

“In doing so, at 2 pm during Monday’s sale, we are going to auction a U-grade Belgian Blue bull, with all proceeds going to St. John’s Ward in Crumlin Children’s Hospital.”
