Headford Mart held its final sale of 2020 on Saturday, December 19^th.

Prices at Headford Mart’s Christmas Cracker sale: 

• Bullocks ranged from €1.45 to €2.49 per kg or €260 to €1010 over the kg. Top price over the kg – a CHX – 790kg – €1800 – €2.28/kg. Top price per kg – X2 CHX – 502kg – €1250 – €2.49/kg.
• Store heifers sold from €1.39 to €2.95 per kg or €195 to €1070 over the kg. Top price over kg and per kg – a BBX – 550kg – €1620 – €2.95/kg.
• Weanling heifers made from €1.81 to €3.85 per kg or €250 to €740 over the kg. Top price over the kg and per kg – a BBX – 260kg – €1000 – €3.85/kg. (1^st prize)
• Weanling bulls went under the hammer from €1.60 to €2.94 per kg or €230 to €625 over the kg. Top price over the kg – a CHX – 345kg – €970 – €2.81/kg. Top price per kg – a LM -170kg – €500 – €2.94/kg.
• Cull cows sold from €600 to €1490 for a 5-year-old CH, weighing 860kg.
• Sucklers varied from €900 up to €1300, while breeding bulls peaked at €1640.

Lambs ranged from €85 to €146 or €2.32 to €2.64 per kg:

• 57kg, €146, €2.56
