€80,000 thatched cottage offering ‘real development potential’

Pat Callanan Property Sales LTD is seeking €80,000 for its newest listing, a thatched cottage in Ballagh, Menlough, Ballinasloe, Co Galway.

The property firm has placed ‘The Thatch’, as it is known locally, on the market in recent days.

It says the traditional thatch cottage “offers real development potential to someone that would seek to restore it to its former glory”.

According to the selling agent, the property “could be redeveloped for any number of purposes whilst retaining its rustic days gone by charm”.

Its accommodation comprises four rooms – including a living room and two bedrooms.

Moreover, the cottage has PVC windows and an extension to the rear with a galvanised sheet roof. Furthermore, there are some sheds and out-offices.
