Weather: Lows of -2 degrees tonight

It will remain dry and sunny in most areas this afternoon, with cloudier conditions expected in the northwest and north, according to Met Éireann.

Temperatures will reach 5 to 9 degrees with lows of -2 to +4 degrees – coldest in Munster and Leinster with a sharp frost, with patches or mist of fog may develop also.

Tuesday – It will be mostly cloudy tomorrow with sunny spells expected in Munster and south Leinster, with cloudier conditions set to impact north-west and north coasts.

Temperatures will reach 7 to 11 degrees in the afternoon, with lows of 3 to 8 degrees, patchy of light rain or drizzle and mist and fog on Tuesday night.

Wednesday – Met Éireann predicts that will be mostly cloudy and dry with patchy drizzle and mist in places and some brighter intervals. It will be slightly milder than previous days with highs of 8 to 11 degrees.

Wednesday night will see some mist, drizzle and fog with lows of 3 to 7 degrees.

Thursday – The national forecaster outlined that it will be mainly dry and mostly cloudy, with a possibility of little patchy rain and drizzle and highs of 7 to 10 degrees.

Rain or drizzle will develop in the northwest on Thursday night and this will move down over Connacht and Ulster.

Friday – It will be mostly cloudy with outbreaks of rain and drizzle – mainly over the northern half of the country, with highs of 7 to 10 degrees.
