According to Marion Devane, a “steady” trade prevailed for cattle at Tuam Mart’s most recent cattle sale on Tuesday, September 22nd, 2023.

The mart manager reported that cull cows reached €2,050, heifers topped at €1,900, bullocks soared to €2,130.

Heifer prices:

  • 425 kg LMX by a Barnaderg farmer made €1240 (€2.92/kg);
  • 445 kg LMX by a Corrandulla farmer made €1570 (€3.53/kg);
  • 465 kg LMX by a Kilcloghans farmer made €1400 (€3.01/kg);
  • 500 kg LMX by a Barnaderg farmer made €1460 (€2.92/kg);
  • A pair 515 kg LMX by a Barnaderg farmer made €1490 (€2.89/kg);
  • 520 kg LMX by a Menlough farmer made €1420 (€2.73/kg);
  • 600 kg LMX by a Kilkerrin farmer made €1730 (€2.88/kg);
  • 615 kg CHX by a Dunmore farmer made €1830 (€2.98/kg);
