Bullocks to €2,260 and cull cows to €1,970 in ‘firm’ trade at Tuam

Tuam Mart – 11-04-2022 – Cattle Prices

According to Marion Devane, cattle met with a “firm” trade at Tuam Mart, Co Galway, on 11-04-2022.

The mart manager reported that cull cows sold to €1,970, while heifers hit €1,800 and bullocks fetched up to €2,260.

Tuam Mart 11-04-2022:

Heifer prices:

  • 485 kg CHX by an Irishtown farmer made €1310 (€2.70/kg);
  • 535 kg LMX by a Belcare farmer made €1470 (€2.75/kg);
  • 580 kg CH by a Corofin farmer made €1590 (€2.94/kg);
  • 570 kg LMX by a Belclare farmer made €1600 (€2.80/kg);
  • 590 kg LMX by a Tuam farmer made €1650 (€2.80/kg);
  • 580 kg CH by a Ballyglunin farmer made €1740 (€3.00/kg);
  • 665 kg AAX by a Claremorris farmer made €1800 (€2.71/kg).

Cull cow prices:

  • 585 kg by a Dunmore farmer made €1420 (€2.43/kg);
  • 685 kg LMX by a Cloonfad farmer made €1880 (€2.71/kg);
  • 690 kg CHX by a Tuam farmer made €1620 (€2.35/kg);
  • 615 kg LMX by a Barnaderg farmer made €1600 (€2.60/kg);
  • 780 kg LMX by a Barnader farmer made €2040 (€2.62/kg);
  • 765 kg LMX by a Ballinasloe farmer made €1970 (€2.58/kg).
