Bullocks top at €2,400 & cull cows climb to €2,300 in Tuam – Devane

Mart Reports/Farming News on That’s Farming – Aurivo Balla Mart – Cattle Prices – 02-10-2023

According to Marion Devane, cull cows topped at €2,300, while heifers sold to €2,010 and bullocks pushed up to €2,400 at Tuam Co-operative Livestock Mart’s general cattle sale on Monday, October 2nd, 2023.

Sample prices from the cull cow ring as follows:

  • 930 kg CHX by a Caherlea farmer made €2300 (€2.47/kg);
  • 825 kg CHX by a Caherlea farmer made €2000 (€2.42/kg);
  • 605 kg LMX by a Dunmore farmer made €1430 (€2.36/kg);
  • 880 kg LMX by a Corrandulla farmer made €1870 (€2.13/kg);
  • 755 kg LMX by a Mossfort farmer made €1750 (€2.32/kg);
