‘Strong’ trade for all classes in Roscommon with highs of €1,960

According to a spokesperson for Roscommon Mart, there was a “good” entry of stock on offer at its most recent general cattle sale on Friday, July 7^th, 2023.

They noted that a “strong” trade prevailed for all classes, with heifers from €2.72-€3.28/kg, and dry cows from €2.29-€2.79/kg.

Dry cow prices:

• LMX – 675 KG – €1,880;

According to the spokesperson, there was a smaller entry of “top-quality” weanlings on offer at the mart’s anniversary sale held on Tuesday evening (July 11^th, 2023).

They noted that a “very strong” trade prevailed for both bulls and heifers.

Bull weanlings pushed from an average of €2.83-€3.59/kg, while heifer weanlings changed hands from an average of €2.90-€3.36/kg.
