Just over 600 entries were on offer at Ennis Mart on Tuesday (November 24th), according to a spokesperson.
Speaking following the sale, the spokesperson said: “Again, quite a number of suckler stock and they met a fine trade.”
In-calf stock made to €2,300 while tops in the pairs climbed to €1,740. Furthermore, a small entry of suck calves went under the hammer with up to €540 for a one-month-old Charolais bull.
“Runner heifers peaked at €740 and runner bulls at €890. Bull and heifer weanlings were a similar trade to last week but no shipping activity for bulls. A pedigree Limousin heifer of 400kgs hit €1,980.”
